JOSEPH Bi-Colour Stretch-Twill Dress

As the monochrome still remains one of my favourite styles, I decided to feature yet another black and white outfit. Here is the lovely JOSEPH Bi-Colour Stretch-Twill Dress, still available at MatchesFashion.comP1020183P1020187I love the graphic monochrome silk-crepe asymmetric front panel overlay and the 1960s-style shift silhouette giving that uber cool retro feel.
P1020201P1020200This gorgeous  A-line shift dress  is somehow re-imagined in an modern, structured, silk-weave with slight stretch and concealed shoulder zip.
P1020163P1020164P1020230Beautifully crafted from the ultra soft pebble leather, the tote offers a gorgeous structured rectangular shape oozing understated cool and is going hand-in-hand with the monochrome dress to create city-chic assemble.I love the polished rose gold hardware, that adds a hefty doze of urban style and a glam designer-led touch while the optional removable shoulder strap gives you all the hands freedom when you need it.P1020221P1020233P1020237P1020178I finished off the look with more office friendly Alexander Wang black Masha double strapped glossed leather mules but for a high impact evening look, slip into some colour-fuelled heels.

Pre Party Bloggers Love Event – Leicester Square

On Bank Holiday Monday, 25th August I was invited to the pre party Bloggers Love event in Leicester Square courtesy of Diana Kakkar (@DianaKakkar) who was a guest speaker. The event was organised by Bloggers Love and is part of Bloggers Fashion Week. It was a perfect opportunity for newbies like myself, to mingle with the other bloggers, exchange ideas, listen to some valuable advice and network with the brands!
I am pretty sure I was in the same boat as rest of the bloggers, umming and ahhing about what to wear. Despite the rain, I decided to inject some colour and opted for this gorgeous Jonathan Saunders Radka peony jacquard skirt and  Zoe Wave Intarsia knit Sweater teamed up with Sam Edelman Ria black ankle booties and JAEGER quilted black leather handbag.
I met some fantastic bloggers, lovely Aimee (@ClaudAimee) Jessica Yau (@jyukimi) Nicolette Toddor (@NicoletteToddor) and Emily Davison (@DavisonEm), to name a few. I have also spoken with greats brands invited to the event. I loved Lauren Rowden’ Ellie Air (@ellieair) jewellery stand, Maria-Katharine Richters’ tinkilove (@tinkilovebcapturelove) gorgeous clothing line and Eleanor Linden’s digital print collection (@EleanorLinden). I am sorry, I am not able to mention all of them.
I had a terrific time that evening, accompanied by my husband, who is also my blog photographer, we had taken quite a few nice pics you can view below.

What are your impressions?

Malene Berger Ocean Blue Dalooni Graphic Print Dress

I purchased this Ocean Blue Dalooni Graphic Print Dress by Malene Berger last year on super sale run by Cososa and fell in love with this figure skimming A-line shift tunic, boldly featuring the zigzag print.
P1020614P1020620Its versatility and effortless chic goes hand in hand with on-duty polish perfect for the office and after-hours drinks. P1020629P1020628Fluid crepe lends this dress lovely crisp drape while the wide epaulettes subtly structure the shoulders, I love the way it stands out in itself and does not require much accessorising.P1020626P1020648P1020649This Danish designer borrows from men’s tailoring  with a refreshing take on classics and her love of contrasts resonates with the tastes of modern and sophisticated women. P1020632P1020641Links of London is my all-time favourite and go-to jewelry brand. I share a particular sentiment to the Watch Over Me Collection. Inspired by the magical power of the talisman, it encompasses elements from nature and the ancient symbol of protection, the evil eye.
P1020636P1020638This  beautiful necklace features the evil eye made of topaz and onyx as its pupil with a small diamond set in a form of a tear. It is supposed to offer protection and is overlooking, warning away evil. I have customised it and added a silver olive branch from another set –  symbol of love, luck and protection.  It is such an unsual necklace –  whimsical yet, profoundly symbolic, and bound to bring good luck! I love the lucky horseshoe clasp fastening tool I will no doubt feature more of Links of London designs so stay tuned if you share my sentiment.
P1020750P1020735P1020728 I paired it with my Alexander Wang Masha sandals for an urban and relaxed look.

Richard Nicoll snake-effect jacquard dress & Alexander Wang Jodie retro mint-green leather pumps

As I am writing this post, I am coming towards the end of my summer holiday and I am desperately trying to keep fresh all the images of the fabulous summer dresses I wore this season.

This is yet another design I have recently fallen in love with – when an average cocktail dress just won’t do, turn to Richard Nicoll’s exquisite cut. This light grey/mint snake-effect jacquard dress is a statement choice, with a pearlescent mint-green jersey back panel and gorgeous mint patent leather hem, it will get you to stand out from the crowd! I love the casual, loose fit and a scoop neck that oozes sophistication.

These Alexander Wang Jodie retro mint-green leather pumps are a perfect duo. I love the mint hue pepped up with a splash of foil-effect aqua green and the black ankle strap that carries on daring modernity. The trademark pointy toe, sling back strap and the additional black ankle strap with a side buckle fastening are just gorgeous. Contrast matte with metallic for unimpaired results, wear it with a pencil skirt or a shift dress for a contemporary cue of style.

The black studded Alexander McQueen De Manta clutch will complete the coolest of evening looks.

10 Crosby Derek Lam leather shorts and Gerard Darel Bahia Simple Bag

I have opted to feature today these urban cool 10 Crosby Derek Lam belted mini leather shorts in black and burgundy. I really like the ribbon tie waist, side slashed pockets and contrast colour blocking. The back shows off lovely elastic back waist and the A-shape line brings out a flattering cut.

As black and white are still ruling the outfits of the day-wear this season, I went for this Zara monochrome crepe top to finish off the look. This blouse is so cool and versatile, you can wear it with pretty much everything as it oozes understated luxury and nonchalance. I love crepe for its matt finish, fluid drape and resistance to creases.

A pair of sandals, neat clutch and off you go, I chose my favourite pair of Alexander Wang Masha double strap slide heels already featured in my earlier posts.

Gerard Darel is another bag designer I absolutely adore. This Bahia Simple Bag is essentially every woman’s minimalist dream bag. As the name indicates, the simple bag completely eradicates all the unnecessary design elements imposed upon most of the ‘it bag’. It comes in the most chic and cool of colours with the added timeless feel to it. I love the black leather exterior with the luxury burgundy suede inside. What I find wonderful about it is that it literally holds all my essentials and you still have plenty of room left, perfect for the fast paced ‘tote fan’! The leather has got a slightly rough look but it is unbelievably smooth which adds on to its striking character.

Flaunt your on trend style with this great combo!

Richard Nicoll Snake Effect Jacquard Dress and Alexander Wang Lovisa Pumps

So I have recently discovered this cocktail cool and modernist London based designer Richard Nicoll and I instantaneously fell in love with his dresses! This color-block Snake-Effect Blue Jacquard Sleeveless Stretch Jersey Dress is the ultimate statement-making piece. I must admit, the indigo-blue is the most intoxicating hue and I love the contrasting snake-effect lilac blue jacquard front pane. The dress features exquisite design detailing including the exposed seams at the back and raw rims. A pair of mules or ankle strap heels and a chic clutch is all you will need.

I teamed up the dress with my favourite Alexander Wang Lovisa blood orange pumps. I love the design so much that I am now a proud owner of these beauties in stingray embossed black and white! I simply adore the stiletto high pointed calfskin toe with t-strap and a side buckle fastening that transforms this classic style into something utterly modern.

Slip into this outfit for a fuss-free, fashion-forward style.

Muubaa Troy burgundy lamb leather dress

I don’t seem to get enough of the leather outfits this year so here it is yet another leather beauty. This semi-fitted Muubaa Troy burgundy lamb leather dress is both contemporary and timeless. Still available on The Outnet.
P1020450With the demure high neckline and slim fit structure cinched in waist, it creates a bold silhouette. I love the two-way heavy exposed zip fastening through back and fabulous rich burgundy colour.P1020453P1020454P1020435The label uses innovative fabric treatments to create pieces that emulate modern edge. I teamed up the dress with my favourite Alexander Wang’s featured in my previous post and RayBan sunglasses that epitomise style, nonchalance and sophistication.P1020498P1020504P1020513P1020481

Cocktail Hour – Jaeger Canary Yellow Taffeta dress

Summer always makes me long for bold colours and funky, structured designs.
This Canary Yellow Taffeta Cocktail dress by Jeager has been on my lust list since it came out in stores in a younger Boutique line of JAEGER, modelled by Stephanie Rad, it immediately grabbed my attention.
Jeager is a heritage rich brand and this dress is so true to Jaeger style, brilliantly British, combining creativity and innovation with desirability and wearability.
What I love about this dress is a luxury taffeta feel and a tulip-like sculptured shape giving it a lovely volume, degree of sexiness, infused with a coquettish and flirty appear. The grey velvet bow accentuates the waist beautifully. It is wearable but individual, it is a kind of dress that makes your girlfriends envy your style.
P1020306P1020292I paired it with these lovely Emporio Armani grey patent calf and reptile skin pumps. I love the front multidimensional and contrasting detail, as well as a chunky heel. Check it out on YOOX sale!P1020332P1020336P1020339P1020343P1020362P1020358

Ted Baker Kamilla Satin Orchid Print Dress

As I have been much into the summer florals theme of recent and I wanted to feature this pretty Ted Baker Kamilla Satin Orchid Print Dress. It is a more demure alternative to a bright, flowery day summer dress and comes with three-quarter length sleeves and barely there padding to the shoulders.
Ted Baker is one of the fastest-growing leading brands in the UK, much acclaimed for its colourful pastel digital print design and this oversized orchid print gives it exactly that eye-catching edge you are after. I love the fact that you don’t have to try hard with this dress, it is ready to wear and utterly versatile. Just add a pair of pumps and off you go.

I have paired it with these lovely Marc by Marc Jacobs fuchsia peep to heels. The deep pink hue fantastically completes the purple orchid accents.
