Going beige

As the weather got a bit milder this week here in London, I decided to feature a jacket-free outfit.
I have gone for beige and contrasting black as I love the way these hues off-set each other.

Last year I discovered & Other Stories label and I fell in love with their simple yet very sharp and invariably desirable pieces.
If you’re a fan of H&M‘s sister brand COS, I am positive you will love them too!

P1050451

Their collaborations with independent fashion designers bring up the style names that we might not otherwise have encountered  on the British high street. Moscow-based designer Vika Gazinskaya and Lykke Li, may just be its most covetable collaborations to date.

P1050460

This lovely & Other Stories two-tone soft and lightweight cotton pullover has a simple yet stylish look. With slightly round silhouette and a relaxed-fit, it accentuates the right parts of your body and gives off casual yet cool vibe.

Leather is surely the key luxe fabric and a leading trend for yet another season, I love the ways it feels and I enjoy styling it with other fabrics. I have put on this Peridot London Stone Randall Wrap Leather Skirt to complement the top. Peridot London are known for their contemporary, timeless quality designs, strong tailoring aesthetic and this piece is no different.

P1050485

P1050472

The asymmetric skirt has a modern tribal vibe about it , I love the way it folds over in front giving the impression it fastens at the fold, while the actual hidden zip is at the back. It is such a lovely and versatile skirt that can be dressed up with neutral heels and a simple t-shirt for smart/casual chic.

P1050470

I teamed it up with & Other Stories black leather ankle boots featuring a quirky wavy cut around the ankle that creates a modern and feminine look.I like the narrow square toe, stable chunky heel and the exposed zip at the rear.

When mohair meets leather

It is this time of the year once more when all you want to do is to wrap up in soft and warm textures not to mention, wool and cashmere are your best friends again! There is something intrinsically comforting about putting on these cozy jumpers in an attempt to stave the cold off and not let the weather get you caught unawares yet again!

P1050594

P1050643

I love woolies teamed up with leather so here is my take on how to pull the look off without compromising on comfort. I have invested in this season’s texture with this ultra soft Whistles Kitty Rib Mohair Knit.

P1050585

P1050667

What attracted me to the jumper in the first place is this gorgeous soft peach/pink pastel colour that surely brightens my autumn wardrobe. The cute rib eye sleeve fashionable detail makes the overall design even more interesting. You just slip it on and job done.

P1050647

These lovely See by Chloè burgundy leather pants featuring a scalloped hem and high waist are an absolute winner.  The deep red colour sets them apart from the typical black leather pants.  The high waist works well when you have an hourglass shape.

Get leathered – back to black

So, I am back to my staple black leather outfit and I love it!
This gorgeous Alexander Wang black leather dress I picked up on Yoox sale is definitely the hit of this season!

P1050117

P1050132

P1050229

I love the unusual silver tone snap fastening at neck and asymmetric zip fastening through front.

P1050218

P1050171

Made from mid-weight non-stretchy lamb leather, it is perfect for the colder months paired with boots and a coat. I am particularly fond of the deep liquorice colour and this dress can just do the trick for an edgy day look, or a sultry night dress-up. Try pointy heels to transform into a femme fatale…

P1050155

P1050158
I have teamed it up with Marc Jacobs block heel ankle boots I also picked up on Yoox.
The fab thing about Yoox is that they do the weekly sales of already discounted designer gems so you can pick up a great deal of bargains if you keep tabs on what is on offer!

P1050200

Combining the quirky elements which make any Marc Jacobs design instantly recognisable seems an impossible task, but with each new and interesting shape and texture the iconic designer proves that this can be done with timeless style.
P1050194
These Black leather zip block heel Chicago ankle boots feature a squared round toe and double gunmetal-tone zip front press-stud fastening tab to ankle. I love the quirky, cylindrical stacked leather heel, where quirkiness meets elegance.

Modern Monochrome

There’s been one overwhelming winner for fashion trends of the season in my wardrobe – the monochrome. I absolutely adore this eternally chic combination, no surprise I have accumulated a fair amount of black and white separates I chop and change as I go.

P1040951

Monochrome is simple but wearing it requires a bit of forethought. The key is to choose the right monochrome for you, and style it up (but not too much) and this is yet another of my takes on this extraordinarily versatile look.

P1040943

P1040938

P1040937

Take a look at this loose fitting Marc By Marc Jacobs White Cleo Quilted Raglan Top I picked up some time ago at FarFetch.

P1040089

Originally set up as a diffusion line by Marc Jacobs, the brand is now run by the esteemed British duo Luella Barleya and Katie Hillier who injected into the brand a lot of cool tailoring and fresh graphics.

P1040991

This stretch-cotton top is a true style powerhouse with its elaborate quilting and oversized raglan sleeves. I am fond of the zip-trim shoulders that certainly make the top look more interesting.

As a contrasting separate, I chose these laid back luxe wrapped trousers from Superfine I bought last year on one of my favourite online shopping destinations – COCOSA.

P1040984

Made from super soft black cotton, they have a subtle wrap look detail on the front and two side slit pockets on the hips. I love the tapered legs and ankle skimming cuffs with zip fastenings. A bit punk, a bit purist Perfect for a lazy afternoon out!

P1040989

Established in 2003 by Lucy Pinter and Flora Evans, Superfine is recognised as an innovative style leader, creating rock and roll jeans with a real London attitude. The designs embrace denim’s effortlessness, with the focus on fit and fabric with clever, often hidden, details.

P1040996

P1040002

I picked my favourite Alexander Wang Lovisa embossed peroxite white lizard-effect leather pumps to complement the look. I got them up over summer on sales at Jades24, unfortunately, now sold out.

P1040009

They are the most stylish and comfortable heels I own, that’s probably why I am a proud owner of these beauties in three different colours including black and blood orange!

P1040014

These Lovisa pumps are made from peroxide snake embossed leather and feature a sleek ankle strap, both practical and chic, it will seamlessly take you from season to season.

P1040019

I simply adore the stiletto high elegant tapered toe with t-strap and a side buckle fastening that transforms this classic style into something utterly modern.

Fall in love with green…

As the new season sets in, I tend to favour a new hue so it is it about time to move on from my summer absolute favourite – peppermint to a bright shade of green.

P1040491

P1040493

P1040498

This Roksanda Ilincic skirt epitomises what I love about the vibrancy of green and the volume of design. I picked it up on my all time favourite Yoox sale, still available if it takes your fancy:)

P1040537

It is made of cool wool which makes the fabric feel almost textured or embossed. The skirt features a captivating billowing structure cinched in waist with a black nylon band to highlight the waistline and a raw exposed zip at the back.

P1040571

P1040546

Navy is a great dark alternative to black and is more complimentary in its depth of colour.

P1040566

I find navy works very well as a base for green so I have opted for that JOSEPH navy cashmere cropped jumper I picked up on BrandAlley.

P1040535

it is a must for every wardrobe, made from luxuriously soft, lightweight cashmere, it is the perfect layering piece. I wear it with a silk shirt with contrast yellow collar for office as well!

I love the flattering crew neckline and cropped design.

P1040562

I teamed the outfit with this 3.1 Phillip Lim 31 Minute clutch Bag in a demure midnight navy. Timeless, chic and very modern – it is a great day-to-night clutch!

P1040528

I am a big fan of the fold-over structure and the hand holder that allows you to adjust its size depending on your needs are on a day!

P1040532
The zipped opening makes sure you do not lose anything while on on the go or even on a dance floor:)

P1040486

P1040485

P1040484

P1040482

I love shoes and finding out how new styles work for my my outfits always excites me so I ventured into not-so-frequented moccasin style.

P1040525

These CHLOÉ calf leather two tone Moccasins I got on a recent Yoox sale are just gorgeous.

P1040517

I applaud the towering block heel,  polished leather and metal applications!

P1040514

I popped on my favourite Links of London Watch Over Me necklace and I am ready to rock my new look!

How to wear leather this season

As the cold has indeed settled in for good, the leathers are surely my autumn wardrobe constant and this is my take on how to pull the look off without looking overtly attention seeking.

P1040747

P1040761

P1040765

P1040781

I must admit that this Alexander Wang Leather and brushed-twill blazer has become a staple of my heavily leather-laden wardrobe. I picked it up on Yoox sale but is is still available on theoutnet.

P1040787

The jacket features very quirky leather halterneck vest-effect front with flap pockets and snap-fastenings through the front.

P1040790

Alexander Wang’s designs never cease to amaze me. With the urban separates that are perfect for layering, deconstructed pieces, contrasting fabrics with a spot-on finish, Wang undeniably is the king of downtown cool and effortless chic.

P1040866

P1040871

P1040873

P1040879

Therefore, there is no surprise that I have also gone for yet again another of Wang’s designs – these uber cool Greyser steel grey Kori Cut-out heel textured leather Ankle boots I got on theoutnet sale

P1040832

I love the wedge cut-out leather heel with metal hardware plate that truly makes these boots unique.

P1040828

The elasticated side panels and a pull tab at the rear create no-fuss slip on and off.

P1040826

I must admit, they are very comfortable as well!

P1040819
P1040816

P1040807

For the all-leather look, I went to one of my favourite leather labels – MUUBAA whose head designer Christiana Nicolaou continually redefines what is possible in leather design, pushing boundaries to promote style individuality.

P1040895

I chose this Kalu Black leather skirt which is a classic A-line mini made from ultra soft leather, I picked it up on BrandAlley sale but unfortunately, it is no longer available.

P1040900

The central front zip with exposed teeth and double poppered tab fastening certainly give the skirt a modern twist adding on downtown cool to my look.

P1040902

I wanted to mix leather with a softer yet colour-synchonised top so I went for this JAEGER London colour block black and grey wool T-shirt. Leather and wool go together beautifully. The duo creates an interesting variation of soft and tough textures that off-set each other.

P1040907

This is probably one of those staple quality T-shirts you have in your wardrobe that will go with pretty much anything you wear but in this instance, it was a conscious decision to highlight the steel grey tone of the boots, which I hopefully achieved:).

I picked up these Ray Ban Wayfarers to finish off this sleek yet grunge look.
