As the cold has indeed settled in for good, the leathers are surely my autumn wardrobe constant and this is my take on how to pull the look off without looking overtly attention seeking.
I must admit that this Alexander Wang Leather and brushed-twill blazer has become a staple of my heavily leather-laden wardrobe. I picked it up on Yoox sale but is is still available on theoutnet.
The jacket features very quirky leather halterneck vest-effect front with flap pockets and snap-fastenings through the front.
Alexander Wang’s designs never cease to amaze me. With the urban separates that are perfect for layering, deconstructed pieces, contrasting fabrics with a spot-on finish, Wang undeniably is the king of downtown cool and effortless chic.
Therefore, there is no surprise that I have also gone for yet again another of Wang’s designs – these uber cool Greyser steel grey Kori Cut-out heel textured leather Ankle boots I got on theoutnet sale
I love the wedge cut-out leather heel with metal hardware plate that truly makes these boots unique.
The elasticated side panels and a pull tab at the rear create no-fuss slip on and off.
I must admit, they are very comfortable as well!
For the all-leather look, I went to one of my favourite leather labels – MUUBAA whose head designer Christiana Nicolaou continually redefines what is possible in leather design, pushing boundaries to promote style individuality.
I chose this Kalu Black leather skirt which is a classic A-line mini made from ultra soft leather, I picked it up on BrandAlley sale but unfortunately, it is no longer available.
The central front zip with exposed teeth and double poppered tab fastening certainly give the skirt a modern twist adding on downtown cool to my look.
I wanted to mix leather with a softer yet colour-synchonised top so I went for this JAEGER London colour block black and grey wool T-shirt. Leather and wool go together beautifully. The duo creates an interesting variation of soft and tough textures that off-set each other.
This is probably one of those staple quality T-shirts you have in your wardrobe that will go with pretty much anything you wear but in this instance, it was a conscious decision to highlight the steel grey tone of the boots, which I hopefully achieved:).
I picked up these Ray Ban Wayfarers to finish off this sleek yet grunge look.
I’m not that much of a internet reader to be honest but your sites really nice, keep
it up! I’ll go ahead and bookmark your website to come back later.
Cheers
