There’s been one overwhelming winner for fashion trends of the season in my wardrobe – the monochrome. I absolutely adore this eternally chic combination, no surprise I have accumulated a fair amount of black and white separates I chop and change as I go.
Monochrome is simple but wearing it requires a bit of forethought. The key is to choose the right monochrome for you, and style it up (but not too much) and this is yet another of my takes on this extraordinarily versatile look.
Take a look at this loose fitting Marc By Marc Jacobs White Cleo Quilted Raglan Top I picked up some time ago at FarFetch.
Originally set up as a diffusion line by Marc Jacobs, the brand is now run by the esteemed British duo Luella Barleya and Katie Hillier who injected into the brand a lot of cool tailoring and fresh graphics.
This stretch-cotton top is a true style powerhouse with its elaborate quilting and oversized raglan sleeves. I am fond of the zip-trim shoulders that certainly make the top look more interesting.
As a contrasting separate, I chose these laid back luxe wrapped trousers from Superfine I bought last year on one of my favourite online shopping destinations – COCOSA.
Made from super soft black cotton, they have a subtle wrap look detail on the front and two side slit pockets on the hips. I love the tapered legs and ankle skimming cuffs with zip fastenings. A bit punk, a bit purist Perfect for a lazy afternoon out!
Established in 2003 by Lucy Pinter and Flora Evans, Superfine is recognised as an innovative style leader, creating rock and roll jeans with a real London attitude. The designs embrace denim’s effortlessness, with the focus on fit and fabric with clever, often hidden, details.
I picked my favourite Alexander Wang Lovisa embossed peroxite white lizard-effect leather pumps to complement the look. I got them up over summer on sales at Jades24, unfortunately, now sold out.
They are the most stylish and comfortable heels I own, that’s probably why I am a proud owner of these beauties in three different colours including black and blood orange!
These Lovisa pumps are made from peroxide snake embossed leather and feature a sleek ankle strap, both practical and chic, it will seamlessly take you from season to season.
I simply adore the stiletto high elegant tapered toe with t-strap and a side buckle fastening that transforms this classic style into something utterly modern.
I accesorised with Alexander McQueen white and red graded shades and Links of London Annoushka Amethyst dome earrings and Affinity Kinship Citrine Ring.

Very nice look; black and white is a great combination. Love the zipper detail on both the top and the pants. Some great heels to be paired with the outfit. Great job. 😉
