“Baby, it is cold outside” is certainly the new London theme tune right now as it got really chilly out here.
I am the last person to welcome the wintry blasts but before I settle comfortably into my cosy shearling coats and knee high boots, there are a couple of less heavy-duty outfits I would like to share.
When it comes to knits, cashmere is the king, this ultra soft fabric is a symbol of opulence and unparalleled comfort.
I have found this lovely Marc by Marc Jacobs cashmere tulle frill neck jumper on one of recent wanders at the local TX Maxx in the City. Trust Marc By Marc Jacobs to inject this wardrobe classic with a fun feminine twist giving the essential plain black sweater a fashion-forward update! Amp it up with the optional tulle collar when the mood takes you!
The collar is button detachable and features semi-sheer polka dot tulle frill embellishment.
I love contrasting and complementing colours and colour blocking is one of my favourite styles so I opted for this gorgeous JAEGER Italian Melton wool Pencil Skirt in fabulous oxblood. This beautifully cut pencil skirt with a smooth waistband and split at the front and back is so figure skimming and a must for the office or evening drinks. It looks equally marvelous with a silk blouse!
The black studded Alexander McQueen De Manta clutch will complete the coolest of day or evening looks.
I accessorised with Fendi Rose Gold Bangle and Michael Kors Rose Gold watch.
I kicked the outfit off with a pair of Preen for Aldo Pravda Rise pumps featuring a pointy toe, patchwork leather detail and bold block heels that not only elongate your legs, but also keep feet comfortable.
I love these heels for the unusual V-shaped front finish and grainy feel to the leather.
