The Coat Season

So we are well and truly into the coat season. As much as I dislike the cold, it is immensely comforting to know that I will be blissfully warm just by throwing a shearling coat on.

Not only are the shearling coats incredibly cozy and practical but they also exude a certain level of timeless luxury and style.
I must admit, I love shopping out of season. You can certainly get more for your money, especially, when like me – you love luxury brands!

I have chosen to go with this gorgeous Just Cavalli green coat I bought from theOutnet some time ago.

Showcasing the fabulous trademark of Roberto Cavalli, sister line Just Cavalli is a riot of vibrant color, print and ceaseless glamour. Dark green has become one of my favourtite colours and I love the way it is juxtaposed with the black lamb shearling collar and cuffs.

One of the unusual features are the hinged fastenings at the front, a funky alternative to buttons, zips or clip-ons.

When in need of turning up the cool-factor of fashion-forward winter looks, put on those super soft dark green ankle boots from Chloé featuring almond toe and block heel.

I love everything about them, the super sleek look, dark shade of green and how comfortable are they!

I colour blocked with this amazing Alexander Wang Rocketeer glossed-leather satchel I picked up on theOutnet.

There is something so mesmerising about the handbag, I could not stop looking at it when I first got it, admiring the beauty of the design, superb leather quality and the complicated curved lines that very much remind me of the forgotten shape of an accordion.

The bag features one open central section and two tab-fastening side compartments. The satchel is undoubtedly in the list of my top 10 favourite bags to date.

Taking a more sophisticated approach to the classic black leather glove, I accessorised with these beautifully crafted JEAGER pony skin leather gloves that complement the coat and Ted Baker black wool scarf.

I would love to hear your comments!

Bloggers Love Fashion Week Gifting Event – London Penthouse

On Monday, 15th September I attended the Bloggers Love Fashion Week Gifting Event organised by Danielle from Bloggers Love at The Penthouse on Leicester Square. The event saw both aspiring and established brands showcasing their designs, clothing, handbags, accessories and jewellery lines and as the name of the event suggests, a vast number of giveaways was in place! I got a lovely goodie bag with great hair products from shoprush.
The event attracted so many bloggers and fashionistas promoting their styles and trends too!
As it was a perfect opportunity to dress up I chose this gorgeous ROKSANDA ILINCIC Estes Charteuse T-shirt in Light Yellow I snapped from and Marc Jacobs Mirah black leather trousers. I paired them with Emporio Armani grey leather and snake skin pumps and JAEGER quilted leather bag.
The evening was super busy with bloggers and brands alike, chatting away, discussing their collections and taking photos.
I have met so many up-and-coming designers with their eye catching lines. I loved the green-themed silk scarves from BYMY.
P1040040The gorgeous print, combined with silky feel and hand rolled edges makes them even more striking.
P1040038I liked the laser cut leather edgy clutches by Nadia Minkoff. This very British label set up in 1988 prides themselves on using the finest leathers, innovative techniques and vintage inspired designs with a modern twist.

My ultimate favourite was this powder blue PVC midi skirt.P1040051Jo Morton’s Valour & Valkyrie collection did catch my attention as well! I took liking to her fairy tale themed, vintage inspired, digital print blouses and jewelled jumpers. P1040036I love the “Scandinavian-like” brand name that somehow resonates with its whimsical and enchanting designs.
P1040033I love Tinkilove by Maria-Katharina Richters. I met Maria on a few occasions in the past and I am a fan of her fresh and bold designs with classic feminine elements, very wearable yet versatile.
P1040029She is also a creative spark behind Capturelove, yet another label she launched retailing exclusive designer caps with imaginative illustrations, creative drawings and intricate designs.
