Thanks to its associations with warm mulled wine, burgundy feels like the perfect hue for this time of year. Throw in a big helping of grey and you have a colour combo that is quickly becoming a fashionista’s favourite.

I have finally recovered from the nasty flu that held me home-bound for the last two weeks (hurray!) so it is about time to have some fun and rave about all those amazing brands I met at London Fashion Week in the Designer Showrooms a few weeks ago!
Hong Kong-born Cyntha was named by Italian Vogue as a designer to watch out for and included her in their list of “New Talents”. Having worked with the likes of Roksanda Illinic, Alexander McQueen, Vivienne Westwood, Preen by Thornton, she then returned home to Hong Kong where she is now based. Her brand, set up in 2014,“is founded on bold graphics infused with strong modernity” and her graphic background shines though in the AW15 collection.

Xiao, who was born in Beijing, initially studied fine art and textiles before combing her artwork with fashion design. After graduating from CSM she moved back to China to launch her own label. Their collaboration incorporates functionality with a edgy masculine present in oversized collars, utilitarian pockets, and striking knot detail.
Both designers bring the idea of bold basics to her SS15 collection utilising classic 50’s shapes and patterns in a striking manner. Cyntia & XIAO delivered a fresh looking collection where beautiful fabrics and colour are at the very forefront.
On Monday, 3rd November I attended Bloggers Love Hub event organised by Danielle at the celebrity hotspot – Mahiki in London. The event brought together a number of fabulous brands and bloggers.
The event brought together a number of fabulous brands and bloggers. The idea behind the get-together was for the bloggers to chat, exchange tips and meet with up-and-coming brands, of course.
I decided to wear this vibrant green Rokanda Ilinicic skirt and JOSEPH navy cashmere cropped jumper I featured recently on the blog.I teamed the outfit with this 3.1 Phillip Lim Minute clutch Bag in a demure midnight navy and these CHLOÉ calf leather two tone Moccasins. I popped on my favourite Links of London Watch Over Me necklace to finish the look.
There were the familiar faces like Yukimi Yau and Nadja Baxter.
I had a chance to meet Katherine Foot, the founder of GlowBeads. She showcased the most gorgeous sets of necklaces wand bracelets in the most vibrant of colours that glow when light hits them!
Featured in the UK Vogue Magazine, the brand features funky, eye catching and modern pieces of jewellery, perfect for parties, presents and weddings! Check it out!
The central part of the event was the fashion show orchestrated by Eva Cammarata – a womenswear designer who already showcased in New York, London and Paris. Her collection exploded with bold colours and unique textiles, and digital prints.
My favourite piece was the unusual calf-length, strapless print knit dress.
One of the beauty brands I really liked was the Charcoal-Spa. Represented by Claire Hultton, the make offers a fantastic range detoxifying skin products including the salt scrubs, face masks and soaps that cleanse skin removing the daily built-up of impurities. Beautifully packaged, they make a perfect present!
I love leather so D-Jewelsus – up and coming brand was right up my alley. The label offers beautifully crafted leather jewellery & accessory designs and custom-made ones.
I loved the colour blocking trapezoid pieces as well the combination of leather with calf skin. These show stopping designs will certainly get you to stand out from the crowd!
I also had a chance to meet Byron Rawlings from The Blogger Programme – the largest social platforms for bloggers, brands and publishers that facilitates initial contact and collaboration.
Later on I met one of the most amazing and experienced bloggers and U-Tubers – Leanne Lim Walker who was full of good advice for a fairly new blogger like myself. All the tips and feedback were greatly appreciated!
It was fantastic to meet other amazing bloggers including MelonLady, Bumascloset and Dora Fashion Space. Thank you for a lovely chat, ladies!
It was a fab evening and I am now looking forward to meeting new people at the next Bloggers Love Hub event tomorrow!
It is this time of the year once more when all you want to do is to wrap up in soft and warm textures not to mention, wool and cashmere are your best friends again! There is something intrinsically comforting about putting on these cozy jumpers in an attempt to stave the cold off and not let the weather get you caught unawares yet again!
I love woolies teamed up with leather so here is my take on how to pull the look off without compromising on comfort. I have invested in this season’s texture with this ultra soft Whistles Kitty Rib Mohair Knit.
What attracted me to the jumper in the first place is this gorgeous soft peach/pink pastel colour that surely brightens my autumn wardrobe. The cute rib eye sleeve fashionable detail makes the overall design even more interesting. You just slip it on and job done.
These lovely See by Chloè burgundy leather pants featuring a scalloped hem and high waist are an absolute winner. The deep red colour sets them apart from the typical black leather pants. The high waist works well when you have an hourglass shape.
See by Chloe is known for the scalloped hem and I have opted for a pair of
With their impeccable design, perfect finish, and perfectly proportioned stiletto heel, these fab high heels embellished with quirky silver tone medallion trim, combine all the essential qualities of the high heel, the quintessence of femininity.
