If you love your casual style and are looking for fresh ideas, have a peak at this oh-so simple, totally wearable day look.
I never get tired of monochrome – casting off the Sixties connotations, monochrome is all about pattern play, couture detailing, geometrics and intelligent design! Add on a splash of colour to match your mood.
A colour that we all will already own and feel comfortable in, blue – whether in shades of sky, cobalt, navy or aqua – is a hue easy to pull off and feel feminine in.
With this in mind, here is an example of how to wear it…
T by Alexander Wang Bonded textured-leather biker jacket
It is that time of the year when we start thinking about softer and warmer textures and long for the jumpers stocked at the back of your wardrobe.
Today I have teamed up the super soft knit with heavy silk blend and pastels.
You can never go wrong with sleek and sophisticated monochrome. Whether you are off to an end of summer party and an evening do, this outfit is bound to turn some heads.
If like me, you are a fan of metallics, I hope you will like this outfit!
Balenciaga round frame metal sunglasses (old season)
Loving the weather in London now so something a bit different for today from my ever expanding collection…

ROKSANDA ILINCIC Estes silk-crepe collar blouse (last season)
This stunning Mary Katrantzou Silk Blend Animal Print Jacquard dress I picked up on TheCorner sale is one of my favorite pieces to date. Inspired by the signature fifties New Look silhouette and styled in deep shades of jewel-toned jacquard, Mary Katrantzou‘s A-line dress is certainly a feminine choice for dress-up. Covered in abstract animal patterning, this shimmering piece lends evening looks a touch of whimsical.
I love the ink/black silk blend with bordeaux and silver-hued jacquard pattern.
Designed with a detachable, plush stone lamb aviator-inspired shearling collar, rough downtown-luxe hardware and a chunky buckled belt, is one of the most coveted wardrobe staples among It girls. I love slightly boxy cut and the asymmetric zip.
I was aiming at that extra edge so slipped into these gorgeous Alexander Wang Lys polished leather ankle boots, also from Net-a-Porter.
Not only does Wang create most coveted accessories each season, but this time he also incorporates the runaway’s utilitarian feel injecting a dose of futuristic style into otherwise, daily-wear pieces.
These super cool Lys boots are crafted from polished-leather with an exaggerated, shield-like front panel. Finished with a well-balanced ostrich-effect heel, this backless, gorgeous pair look best with shorter hemlines.
Of course, I cannot forget to mention the fabulous Mary Katrantzou glossed MVK medium cross body bag!
I love leather jackets so unsurprisingly, over the years I have collected a fair number of them in various shapes and shades.
My recent addition is this stunning Acne Studios chocolate Mabel jacket – a modern classic leather motorcycle jacket with a feminine waisted silhouette featuring stand up collar and padded shoulders.
The interior is lined with a warm faux astrakhan with the signature curved hem longer in the back.
It has a heavyweight feel, so sure to keep you warm and cozy even in the coldest of weathers.
Low-key but luxurious, Acne Studios‘ jacket is perfect for casual dressing. I think it looks effortlessly cool with a pair of jeans or a funky skirt and ankle boots.
I wore it with Club Monaco Mori mint and navy scuba asymmetric mini skirt that could truly be worn year-round. Club Monaco is a high-end casual clothing retailer owned by Polo Ralph Lauren I stumbled upon while browsing various on-line shopping destinations outside the UK. Worth checking out!
Unexpected and avant-garde, the skirt features bold colour blocking and a distinctive wrap-skirt silhouette finished with daring faux leather.
The mint, navy and black leather combination, and offset gunmetal zip create an interesting fusion of colour and texture.
When in need of turning up the cool-factor of winter looks, put on those super soft dark green ankle boots from Chloé featuring almond toe and block heel.
I love everything about them, the super sleek look, dark shade of green and how comfortable are they!
I accessorised with Links of London earrings and ring.

I love wrapping myself up in soft and luxurious fabrics that keep the cold at bay and with this beautiful piece, casual wrap up stole is being taken to a whole new level.
Acne Studios Neela dramatic wrap was debuted at the label’s Fall ’14 runway show. this gorgeous monochrome stole is crafted from soft wool-blend and backed in black patent leather. I bought it off NET-A-PORTER, unfortunately it has sold out since then.
When I saw it on-line earlier in a year, I knew I had to have it. This jacquard stole is so unusual featuring a single long sleeve, funnel neck, softly gathered front with a wrap around effect. You simply slip your arm into the single sleeve, securing it at the shoulders with concealed snap fastenings.
It is definitely a bold fashion statement and will surely get you noticed!
I wore Jeager London black wool boucle collarless jacket underneath. You can’t really see its details so I will save it for the next post but it is one of those jackets that fit in seamlessly with almost any outfit. I have been known to wear it from early spring till late autumn months.
These stylish MICHAEL KORS jeans definitely add sophisticated versatility to your wardrobe.
I finished the look of with my foolproof L.K. Bennett Selina Mock Croc Leather Court Shoes. Unfortunately they are now sold out everywhere, you might get lucky and hunt them down on Ebay though.
